Tazuni

Hello! We are Tazuni class and are in Year 3 and 4. Our teacher is Mrs Maitland and our teaching assistant is Miss Mills.

Tazuni is a mascot from the 2023 Women’s World Cup.  Fun, football-loving Eudyptula minor penguin from the waters surrounding New Zealand and Australia. The 15-year-old penguin, who plays in midfield, falls in love with football after joining in with a group of children playing a game on the beach. Tazuni is Streetwise and confident. She stands out from the crowd thanks to her signature blue tuft of hair. Her name is a fusion of ‘Tasman Sea’ – which she calls home – and ‘unity’, a key value of the event. The football-loving teenage penguin brought excitement to the tournament and inspired a new generation of fans.

Our motto is:

“Tazuni stands tall, we get up when we fall We care for each other and give it our all!”
