Classes
There are a total of fourteen classes at Hawkinge Primary School. Each year the class make up changes and each year the classes get different names.
On Election Day (4th July 2024) we held our very own ‘Hawkinge Primary School Election’!
The children attended a hustings event earlier in the week, then on July 4th as the nation voted, so did we! This vote was to decide on class names 2024-2025. The overarching theme of music was chosen for 2024-2025 by the children.
The Reception class have been named after famous songs.
The Year 1 & 2 classes are all named after a musical genre.
The Year 3 & 4 classes are all named after musicians.
The Year 5 & 6 classes are all named after composers.
